Sky Collaborates with Accenture to Transform the Employee Experience with Cloud-Based HR System

LONDON; Aug. 16, 2022 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has helped Sky, one of Europe’s leading media and entertainment companies, to modernise its employee experience and human resources (HR) operations with a company-wide cloud-based transformation.

The program is part of Sky Life, the company’s strategic initiative to transform the employee experience through technology that helps enable employees to better organise their working lives, further build their careers and perform at even higher levels.

The new cloud-based capabilities use Workday and ServiceNow to empower employees with self-service solutions, as part of Sky’s goal to further modernise their workplace in an era of hybrid working. The multi-platform solution supports the full range of people management functions, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, learning, compensation, benefits, absence, time tracking and payroll integration. A Workday mobile application provides employees with anytime, anywhere access, making it easier to complete tasks on the go.

The new capabilities have been rolled out to 35,000 employees across Sky’s markets. In delivering the solution, Accenture consolidated 3.4 million data items from Sky’s existing systems, which provides employees access to real-time data and dashboards across all markets in one place.

Niall Wilson, managing director, Accenture Intelligent Platform Services, said, “At a time when companies are focused on the future of work, we have collaborated with Sky on this important cloud initiative to help them empower their employees and leaders with insight to drive the next wave of growth. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we are proud to have delivered a complex multi-platform business transformation across Europe using a remote working delivery model.”
